Candidates must have a professional studies diploma in welding and at least 3 years of experience in welding and fitting, specifically within the food industry. Proficiency in GTAW welding and the ability to travel are required.

At QUALTECH, we are known for our expertise in liquid sanitary processes, particularly in the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors. Well established across Canada and the United States, QUALTECH offers a unique turnkey project service, including engineering, project management, design and manufacturing of stainless steel equipment, installation of sanitary piping, process automation, and component distribution.
Position summary
Under the supervision of the Piping Operation Manager, the Welder-Fitter actively participates in production activities.
Technical component
Demonstrate welding and fitting capabilities
Assemble stainless steel parts using the TIG welding process
Run steel fitting with minimal direction and guidance
Carry out welding operations, including reading blueprints
Analyze assembly plans and specification
Ability to create a product that meets customer's expectations
Other duties will be required
Continuous improvement component
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of working methods.
General component
· Contribute to maintaining a good climate organization through his ideas and decisions;
· Apply the general safety rules of Qualtech;
· Participate in training new employees;
· Insure a clean and safe place;
· Respect and promote the company’s values.
Academic requirements
Diplôma of professionnal studies in welding
Required profile
Welding and fitting: Minimum 3 years of experience
Experience in the industry food
Available to travel
Required skills and qualifications
The ideal candidate will have completed welding training at a vocational or technical training facility
Experience in GTAW welding and installation in a metal fabrication environment
Proficient at reading blueprints
Safety focused
Good physical condition
Must be organized, proactive, and interact positively and respectfully with co-workers
