The Operating Room Assistant supports the surgical team by performing general department cleaning and case cart preparation. They are also responsible for running errands, transporting patients, and managing room turnover.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a Basic Life Support card must be obtained within three months of hire. Previous experience in operating room support or as a nursing assistant is preferred.
