We are seeking an experienced Treatment Coordinator who is passionate about helping patients move forward with the dental care they need while serving as a trusted liaison between our doctors, patients, and administrative team.
Position Overview
The Treatment Coordinator plays a critical role in the success of our practice by educating patients on recommended treatment, helping them understand their insurance benefits and financial options, and guiding them through the scheduling process. This position requires someone with proven success in case acceptance, advanced dental insurance knowledge, and the confidence to present comprehensive treatment plans.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a demonstrated track record of closing large treatment plans while providing an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Present treatment plans with confidence, professionalism, and compassion.
- Educate patients on recommended treatment and emphasize the importance of timely care.
- Achieve and maintain strong treatment acceptance rates through effective patient communication.
- Build value in recommended treatment while overcoming patient concerns and objections.
- Verify dental insurance benefits and accurately explain patient financial responsibility.
- Create and maintain insurance fee schedules and benefit tables with a high level of accuracy.
- Coordinate financing through third-party lenders and assist patients in selecting payment options.
- Schedule treatment efficiently while maximizing provider productivity.
- Work closely with doctors and clinical staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment estimates, and financial documentation.
- Follow up consistently with unscheduled treatment and outstanding treatment plans.
- Monitor daily and monthly treatment acceptance goals and production opportunities.
- Support the front office team as needed while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of dental reception/front office experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of dental insurance verification experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience building and maintaining insurance tables and fee schedules.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience presenting dental treatment.
- Proven track record of successfully presenting and closing large treatment plans.
- Strong understanding of PPO dental insurance, benefit breakdowns, frequencies, limitations, clauses, and coordination of benefits.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Experience with Open Dental is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CareCredit, Sunbit, or other third-party financing platforms.
- Experience working with multiple providers in a busy general dentistry practice.
- Strong understanding of production goals, scheduling efficiency, and practice growth.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with patients while helping them make informed treatment decisions.
Schedule and Pay
- $24.00–$29.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Performance-based bonus opportunities.
- Full-time position.
- Four 10-hour shifts.
- Occasional Saturday availability required (approximately one Saturday per month).
- Office hours:
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
