The Truck Loader is an hourly position reporting to the Distribution Manager or Branch Manager. The Truck Loader will perform any combination of receiving, storing, and distributing tasks to assist in the manufacture and/or distribution of products.
Responsibilities:
Loads/unloads, stacks, and moves ingredients and finished products.
Transfer of finished product manually or by vehicle.
May sort, bundle, and fill containers or place them in assembled units.
May mark or put identifying labels on product loads o May record movement of stock in/out of work areas.
Monitors materials, products, and equipment at each stop of the process and reports irregularities to the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
Ability to read chemical labels and follow safe handling procedures for food-grade products.
Ability to accurately record data.
Must be able to work weekends, and varying shifts (days, evenings, nights).
Minimum age: 18
Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
Valid Driver's license required.
Physical Demand/Working Conditions:
This position requires heavy lifting - Must be able to routinely lift 1-60 lbs.
Ability to constantly pull up to 270 lbs. with a pull rod while walking backward.
Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach at, above and below the shoulder.
To walk/stand on your feet constantly during your shift.
Ability to work for extended periods in cold, damp, and hot environments in the summer.
Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of your surroundings.
Load and unload truck and carry merchandise.
Required to work in very hot (100°+) and very cool (less than 32°) environments throughout the year.
Required to work outside most of the time, regardless of the conditions.
