Dairy One Cooperative is based in Ithaca, NY. We serve approximately 2500 dairy farm members throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Our dedicated staff of over 250 employees stand ready to assist our members and customers each day.
Create, maintain, and edit GIS data features
Query GIS data and display results using maps, graphs, and tabular data
Standardize geographic data
Research and conduct tests on new tools
Perform geospatial modeling and spatial analysis
Review GIS data for accuracy
Act in a software support capacity for internal and external users of ACS proprietary software
Build, update, and maintain database, GIS software, and hardware
Administer and troubleshoot proprietary applications and GIS solutions
Evaluate sources of data ranging from imagery to field data to develop effective efficient modeling strategies
Assist in crop-type/yield mapping and other mapping endeavors
Design, develop, implement ACS deliverables (farmstead, field, tech, ESR…etc.)
Typical Allocation of Time (40hr week)

QualificationsQualifications and Education Requirements
BS/MS Remote Sensing/Geography/Data Sciences field
Proficiency with GIS desktop software and data management
Experience with various technology methodologies and applications
Ability to process and analyze data
Strong team player
Excellent verbal and written communication
Critical thinking skills
AutoCAD
Detail oriented
Farm or agriculture experience
Experience with AgLeader SMS platform
Precision Agriculture certificate, apprenticeship, or industry recognized credential
