The role involves analyzing the technical and economic feasibility of local electric vehicle production and assembly scaling in Kenya. Responsibilities include conducting desk research, interviewing experts, and preparing results for reports and stakeholder presentations.
Candidates should be students of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Economics, Political Science, or a similar field. Proficiency in English and experience with market or feasibility analyses are highly desired.

Die PEM Motion GmbH ist eine internationale Beratungs- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft im Umfeld der RWTH Aachen mit Fokus auf Elektromobilität und Batterietechnologie. Im Rahmen eines internationalen Entwicklungskooperationsprojekts erstellen wir eine Machbarkeitsstudie zur lokalen Produktion von Elektrofahrzeugen und zur Skalierung der Fahrzeugmontage in Kenia.
Hierfür suchen wir ab sofort eine:n Studierende:n, der/die im Rahmen einer Bachelor- oder Masterarbeit ein klar abgegrenztes Teilthema der Studie eigenständig bearbeitet und unser Projektteam inhaltlich unterstützt.

+ Analyse der technisch-ökonomischen Machbarkeit lokaler EV-Produktion und der Skalierbarkeit der Fahrzeugmontage in Kenia (u. a. Investitionsbedarf, Lieferketten, Industrieinfrastruktur)
+ Desk Research sowie Auswertung von Markt-, Industrie- und Politikdaten, ergänzt durch Interviews mit internationalen Expert:innen
+ Aufbereitung Deiner Ergebnisse für Reports und Stakeholder-Präsentationen gemeinsam mit unserem Projektteam
Das bringst Du mit …
+ Studium des Maschinenbaus, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesens, der Elektrotechnik, Wirtschafts- oder Politikwissenschaften oder eines vergleichbaren Fachs
+ Interesse an Elektromobilität, Produktionstechnik und internationalen Märkten, idealerweise erste Erfahrung mit Markt- oder Machbarkeitsanalysen
+ Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (Arbeitssprache im Projekt) sowie sicherer Umgang mit Excel und PowerPoint
+ Selbstständige, strukturierte Arbeitsweise und Freude an interkultureller Zusammenarbeit
