Summary/Objectives: Perform routine measurements on raw materials, in-process components and final assemblies, assisting in the performance of qualification and validation testing including calibrations. Is a member of the internal audit team and participates in the development and review of QA related documents and work instructions. Practice and implement processes and procedures to conform to ISO 9001 standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Follow established inspection, testing, manufacturing, and safety procedures.
- Perform receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections of parts and assemblies; record and maintain inspection results.
- Associate drawings with applicable dimensional inspection data and process non-conformances in the ERP system.
- Support RMA activities, including inspection and evaluation of products for warranty qualification.
- Develop and maintain tools to track product and process non-conformances affecting quality and throughput.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities, including root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
- Identify, monitor, and report quality trends, risks, and recurring issues.
- Assist with production quality checks and train production personnel on quality requirements and procedures.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001
- Maintain reliable attendance and work overtime as required to meet business needs.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education, Experience/Competencies:
Education: Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of quality assurance experience with a manufacturing company.
Education: Preferred
- Associate degree or equivalent.
- Lead auditor training.
- IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification
- Component ID certification

Required:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Ability to read and interpret operation sheets (Op Sheets), production flow documentation, and basic engineering drawings.
- Basic proficiency with measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, hardness testers, and coating thickness gauges.
- Computer literacy, including data entry, file navigation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and safety.
- Ability to solve problems and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, dependability, and commitment to completing assigned work.
- Ability and willingness to obtain IPC Specialist Certification (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620) within a specified timeframe.
Preferred:
- Advanced ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Working knowledge of quality management systems, inspection methods, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and quality system compliance.
- Experience applying statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
- Experience using ERP systems and electronic quality management systems.
- Advanced proficiency with inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
- Ability to learn and apply new software systems, manufacturing processes, and quality procedures.
- IPC certifications (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620) or equivalent industry certifications.
Experience:
- Minimum two years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with detailed measuring equipment including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks and coordinate measuring machines.
- Industry knowledge in test equipment
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or a related industry
- Component ID certification

Work Environment:
Manufacturing plant, non-controlled climate, mechanical equipment, moving objects, noise, fumes, odors, dirt, and dust hile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne contaminants, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The work environment may include non-climate-controlled areas. The noise level may exceed permissible exposure limits, and hearing protection may be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full-Time. Work Schedule: 4/10 Tuesday through Friday 06:00 am – 4:30 pm.
No travel is required for this posiiton.
$500.00 sign on bonus after 90 days (for new employees to Pelco Solutions)
