The Policy Analyst supports the development and review of public policy to advance mandates for Inuit women using a gender-based lens. Responsibilities include conducting research, drafting submissions to governments, and supporting advocacy priorities to promote cultural and gender equity.
Requires a college or university degree and at least two years of experience working with government officials on public policy or capacity building. Candidates should have experience in community-based research and a strong understanding of socio-economic issues impacting Inuit people.

Job Purpose
Reporting to the Manager of VAP &J, the Policy Analyst will utilizing a gender-based lens, Policy Analysts support the development and review of public policy to further Pauktuutit’s mandates and initiatives that support Inuit women.
An excellent communicator with a critical mind, the Policy Analyst will be responsible for supporting advocacy priorities and activities that ensures all policy and knowledge mobilization initiatives consider, model, and actively promote cultural and gender equity at the core.
