The Direct Support Professional will coach and support interns with developmental disabilities by teaching soft and hard job skills during their internship rotations. They will also collaborate with employers and staff while maintaining accurate case notes and intern evaluations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and possess strong professional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software is required, along with a preference for prior experience working with individuals with disabilities.

PathPoint is seeking part-time Direct Support Professionals to join our Project SEARCH team at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA . Project SEARCH is a unique one-year internship program that enables adults with developmental disabilities to learn invaluable job skills in a competitive work setting. In this role, you will coach and support interns with disabilities as they work through internship rotations, helping them develop skills and confidence for regular employment when their internships end. This position is part-time for 15 hours per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00am-3:30pm.
About PathPoint: PathPoint is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people flourish. We partner with children, adults, and families to foster hope, build life skills, access support systems, and form meaningful relationships. We serve communities across Kern, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
Compensation: This is an hourly, non-exempt position starting at $22.25 per hour. If you are bilingual (Spanish or ASL), the starting wage is $22.55 per hour and the pay range is $21.14-$23.36. The pay range is subject to change based on a variety of factors.
*Benefits noted with an asterisk are for full-time employees regularly scheduled for 30+ hours per week.
