Warehouse Coordinator Lead
Position Summary
Pacific Coast Trane is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations at our San Jose facility. In addition to performing warehouse functions, this position provides leadership and direction to one Warehouse Coordinator, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and warehouse organization. The Lead serves as the primary point of contact for warehouse reporting, inventory performance, and operational improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all warehouse activities.
- Provide guidance, training, and oversight to one Warehouse Coordinator.
- Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Oversee the staging, packing, shipping, and receiving of HVAC parts, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory integrity across all warehouse locations.
- Manage inventory of company tools, equipment, and warehouse assets.
- Perform and oversee cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and physical inventory audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, excess inventory, or discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain warehouse reports related to inventory, shipping, receiving, equipment tracking, and operational performance.
- Review shipping documentation, packing slips, freight bills, and inventory records for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate freight claims and resolution of damaged or missing shipments.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse operating procedures.
- Conduct regular warehouse inspections to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Support process improvements to increase warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work overtime or weekends as required to meet operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or logistics experience.
- Previous experience leading, training, or coordinating the work of others preferred.
- Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification.
- Strong inventory management and reporting skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs. The hourly pay range is between $32 and $38 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
