Summary
The Solution & Maintenance Operations Technician will assist in the execution of Solutions Projects and Maintenance. Also, assists with project commissioning activities on an as-needed basis under the direction of Solutions and Maintenance Operations Manager.
Reporting Relationships
The Solution & Maintenance Operations Technician reports to the Solutions and Maintenance Operations Manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Solution Business
Support the Solution Business Development
Partner with the Sales Team and the Customer to define Project scope and timeline
Make a Project Plan including
Internal and External Resources (Material and Labor)
Timeline
Any other needs for a successful, on-time and on-cost project execution
Track costs, work to avoid overages, coordinate with the sales team on change orders
Share project report and lessons learned upon completion
Assists with site oversight for minor construction work when required, mainly by checking work progress and reporting to the manager
Scheduled Maintenance
Understand the Operation and Maintenance Manual of the UPW system
Work with temporary labor to perform the maintenance work
Instruct the procurement of items needed for the maintenance work, including getting quotes for tools, replacement parts and consumables, negotiating price and delivery, check received items conformance
Monitor maintenance work and propose and implement solutions when problems arise.
After maintenance work is completed, verify that the system operates according to specifications. (Possibly out of state, may require business travel for several days approximately once per month.).
Review daily progress reports from the maintenance team members.
Check the consistency with the design drawings and control drawings based on the specifications, guaranteed values, etc.
Check the positioning of the system components like tanks, piping, valves, pumps, instruments, etc. are installed according to the design drawings.
Inform maintenance progress and any issues to your supervisor daily
Abide strictly to the company and clients’ safety standards.
Unscheduled Maintenance
Gather problem statement from the customer and your supervisor
Perform Troubleshooting
Gather input from the Organo USA, Japan or Taiwan Technical Support Team as needed
Propose and implement solution, source components
Report any non-conformity or abnormal operation of the UPW system.
Commissioning
Support to Commissioning manager
Plan and source the tools and equipment necessary for commissioning work as necessary
Work closely with the commissioning manager to understand the commissioning work schedule
Follow through with duties laid out by commissioning manager including inspections, calibrations, repairs, troubleshooting and any other tasks that affect UPW performance.
Check the consistency with the design drawings and control drawings based on the specifications, guaranteed values, etc.
Education
High school graduate
Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems is a plus.
Skills and Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience in operating or commissioning fluid handling systems for industrial plants, such as water treatment plants, chemical plants, beverage plants, oil refineries or semiconductor fabs.
Ability to understand PnIDs, required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, required.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, required.
Experience with water treatment engineering processes, a plus.
Willingness and ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
AutoCAD is a plus.
Self-motivated with a desire for long-term growth and responsibility
OSHA 30 certification is a plus
Chinese proficiency is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
