Optotune Switzerland AG is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Zurich, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets. Optotune’s vision is to enable our customers to create innovative products by providing them with unique optical components.
As part of Application Engineering, you are the key ingredient to getting our products integrated by customers. From a feasibility study in the lab to creative explorations of new application ideas.
Tasks
Program automated tests in Python on Optotune’s lenses to characterize their long-term performance under different environmental conditions
Explore 3D reconstruction using liquid lenses
Extend your knowledge on cutting edge technologies in optical and electro-mechanical products
Support the Application Engineering team in performing feasibility studies or carry out specific tests on Optotune’s products.
Requirements
Technical background required (MSc or equivalent in engineering or physics)
Practical programming skills (e.g. C, C#, Python) are required
Experience in Computer Vision is advantageous
Friendly and open-minded nature, ability to build & maintain relationships
Results oriented personality, well organized, autonomous
Proficiency in English required, good level of German advantageous
