Closing & Reporting Services
Deliver GL accounting, closing, and reporting services to Opella GBS within the assigned perimeter.
Perform corporate reporting on time according to the closing calendar (including SOLAR, Polo, Headcount, etc.).
Perform inventory accounting activities, including inventory costing (STD uploads to Polo and ERP for ComOps GMIDs where the process is manual), inventory balance sheet reconciliations, stock equation controls, and related activities.
Define and drive accounting, process, and system changes to facilitate A2R service delivery.
Ensure all recurring and non-recurring items are collected, accounts are reconciled, and Manual Journal Entries (MJEs) are posted.
Asset (Tangible & Intangible) Accounting Services
Participate in activities across the fixed asset lifecycle.
Perform asset accounting activities, including depreciation and valuation of tangible assets, intangible assets, finance leases, and IFRS 16 leases, as well as month-end reporting.
Contribute to periodic asset impairment reviews and follow-up activities.
Support month-end closing activities related to fixed assets and prepare associated reporting.
Participate in fixed asset stock count exercises.
Cash Accounting Services
Clear transitory accounts.
Perform bank reconciliations and related adjustments.
Record transactions relating to financial instruments, debt, and loans.
Review foreign exchange net positions when requested by Treasury.
Support month-end closing activities related to cash accounting and prepare associated reporting.
Reporting, Audit & Compliance
Support the preparation of management, legal, and statutory reporting at both Group and country levels.
Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses.
Support internal and external audits.
Support A2R Master Data Management (PCoA).
Ensure compliance of processes, transactions, and reports with Opella/Group accounting policies, internal control guidelines, and audit/SOX requirements.
Monitor operational KPIs and proactively escalate execution issues.
Ensure compliance with internal control and SOX standards.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Demonstrate Opella values and foster a strong internal customer service culture.
Contribute to A2R Core Model process knowledge (Level 6/7) related to GL monthly closing activities.
Support the development of process vision, strategy, and objectives defined globally.
Gather and apply best practices across processes.
Support benchmarking initiatives.
Contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures governing processes.
Provide process expertise to relevant stakeholders when required.
Review digital tools and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce system complexity.
Enhance user experience to help teams perform more effectively.
Communicate effectively with hub management.
