Assist medical and nursing staff with direct patient care, including rooming patients and recording vital signs. Perform routine laboratory tests and prepare patients for examinations and treatments according to clinical protocols.
Requires a high school diploma and either a Medical Assistant program diploma, one year of experience, military medic training, or paramedic training. Medical Assistant certification is preferred and rewarded with additional compensation.

Purpose:
The Medical Assistant roles assist with direct patient care, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol. Assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
