The LPN provides skilled nursing services and executes patient care plans under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider. Responsibilities include administering medications, performing clinical treatments, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
Candidates must be a graduate of a Practical Nursing school and hold a current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio. Proficiency in medication administration and adherence to safety and infection control standards are required.

Purpose: The Licensed Practical Nurse provides skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider, and provides a variety of related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. The scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse includes, but is not limited to, nursing procedures and executing the patient’s nursing care plans, such as, sterile dressings, soaks, compresses, enemas, suppositories, oxygen therapy, catheterization, diabetic care, and pre- and post-operative care.
