Norkol is an independently family-owned business established over fifty years ago to provide quality commercial printing and packaging papers. Norkol needs an experienced set of material handlers/operators in our Longview, WA manufacturing facility.
Qualified candidates may have forklift experience working in a warehouse. This is not required but is preferred. Must be able to climb in and out of equipment. Must have good penmanship to transcribe job orders and be able to understand and read basic written instructions.
Perform duties to ensure the best possible movement of product and material throughout the facility utilizing a forklift.
· FLOW TO WORK. All are expected to flow to where the support is needed, as instructed by the supervisor.
· Responsible for efficient operations of the warehouse.
· Unload and load trucks with incoming or outgoing material.
· Move materials to storage areas and between departments and staging areas.
· Review material picking list and locate material for production area.
· Ensure material picked is what is on order.
· Weigh and record all product waste.
· Inspect material for possible damage, report damage to Supervisor.
· Assist in counting and verifying current stock.
· Removed finished product or scrap from production area to staging area.
· Restock material as needed.
· Report any discrepancies in orders to supervisor.
· Inspect finished goods for acceptable quality and log your findings in our quality management system
· Inspect equipment before use and log data.
· Report any mechanical, electrical or safety problems with equipment for maintenance.
· Follow Safety rules and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
· Perform other duties as assigned, including training on the production machines.
