As a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer, you will support the development and optimization of mechanical systems and components for wind turbines. Working closely with other Engineering teams, Sourcing, Quality and suppliers, you will help ensure safe, reliable, manufacturable and cost-effective component solutions. The role combines design, manufacturing support and supplier interaction within an international environment.
YOUR TASKS
Develop mechanical components that are part of drive train and other systems using Siemens NX and Teamcenter
Manage complience with requirements, choice of materials and coatings and create relevant technical documentation
Evaluate machining and manufacturing processes, particularly for large-scale mechanical components
Investigate manufacturing deviations, quality issues and technical challenges and define corrective actions
Support Sourcing and Quality teams during supplier qualification and homologation activities
Apply GD&T principles and ensure compliance with engineering requirements and drawing standards
Collaborate with international teams on the continuous improvement of wind turbine mechanical systems
YOUR PROFILE
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification
At least two years of professional experience, preferably within the wind energy industry
Good understanding of mechanical systems, ideally drive trains
Experience with machining and manufacturing processes, preferably for large mechanical components
Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools, Siemens NX and Teamcenter preferred
Good understanding of GD&T and technical drawing standards
Good knowledge of materials and corrosion protection
Experience on design methodologies and concept development
Fluent English language skills and the ability to work effectively in international teams
