Our mission is to accelerate the progress of the fashion ecosystem. For the brands that make it. For the factories that build it. We are a B2B fashion supply chain company on that path to a billion dollars in sales by 2028, already working with some of the largest brands in fashion, from Inditex in Spain to Next in the UK. Now we are hiring our first lawyer: a problem solver in Dhaka who reviews everything we sign, fixes what is broken, and finds the way where others stop. This role rewards judgment and drive, not a polished CV. If you want to build the legal function of a fast company from zero, answering directly to the CEO, read on. If that is not you, this is not your role.

We are not hiring an opinion writer. We are hiring the person who owns every legal problem in the company and closes it. The rest of this document tells you exactly who that is.

Nitex is a design-forward fashion supply chain platform. We give brands fresh designs, no minimum order quantity, fast and compliant manufacturing, and real-time visibility into production. Our supply chain already delivers at a level few can match, for major brands including Inditex and Next. Behind that sit hundreds of agreements: brands, factories, suppliers, employees, service providers. Until now, external lawyers have handled them piece by piece. You will be the first lawyer inside the company, and you will own all of it.

You review everything we sign and rebuild what is weak: brand agreements, factory and supplier agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, employment documents. You own employment matters end to end. You handle regulatory and company matters and get results out of slow systems. Where a courtroom or a specialist is needed, you brief and manage external counsel, and you stay the owner of the outcome.

You report directly to the CEO. No legal hierarchy above you, and no layer between you and the decisions. Employment is with NITEX Solutions Ltd in Dhaka, a subsidiary of Nitex Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

A. What you will actually do
+ Read every live contract, map the risks in one register, and fix them in priority order.
+ Build the standard templates the company signs with: brand, factory and supplier, non-disclosure, employment.
+ Own employment matters end to end: contracts, policies, disputes, exits.
+ Handle regulatory, licensing, and company matters across the group.
+ Brief and manage external counsel for court and specialist work. They argue the brief; you own the result.
+ Take on special documentation projects directly from the CEO.

B. Why this role is hard, and why that is the point
There is no legal department behind you. You are it. The business moves in days and the system around it moves in months, and your job is to close that
gap: the approval others wait six months for, the license others give up on, the dispute others let rot. Nothing here is theoretical. Every problem you close moves real orders, real people, and real money.

THE STANDARD
You will not be measured on memos written or opinions issued. You will be measured on problems closed, deals unblocked, risks caught before they cost us, and the absence of surprises.

02. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We hire for mindset first. Mindset is what runs a startup. We care more about how you are wired than where your CV has been.

A. The mindset, non-negotiable
+ A fixer. When the system says no, you find the yes: the stuck approval, the dead license, the deal everyone says cannot close. This is the trait we screen hardest for.
+ An entrepreneur at heart. You want to build the function, not inherit one. A blank page excites you.
+ A problem solver, not an opinion writer. You end at a decision and an action, not at "it depends".
+ Ownership. The outcome is yours. Not external counsel's, not the regulator's, not the court calendar's.
+ Discreet. You will sit closer to sensitive information than anyone outside the founders. It stays with you.
+ Humble and coachable. You take hard feedback and get better fast.

B. The kind of track record that fits
The name of your firm matters less to us than what you personally did there. What we look for is a record of closing hard problems:

+ Around five years in corporate or commercial practice, at a recognized firm or chamber, or in-house.
+ An enrolled advocate. High Court enrollment is preferred. A law degree from the University of Dhaka is preferred.
+ You have personally drafted and negotiated real agreements end to end, and you can walk us through every clause.
+ You have taken a matter through a regulator or government office and produced a result others had given up on.
+ You have handled employment issues in real life: contracts, disputes, exits.
If your history looks like this, we want to talk, whichever firm name sits above it.

03. SUCCESS, REWARD, AND HOW TO APPLY

A. What success looks like

WINDOW & WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE
First 90 days: Every live contract read and mapped in one register. The top risks flagged, with fixes moving. Employment paper standardized.
By month 6: The template system stands: brand, factory and supplier, non-disclosure, employment. Open employment issues closed or on a clear path. An external counsel bench chosen and managed by you.
End of Year 1: Legal runs ahead of the business. No deal waits on legal. No issue repeats without a template that prevents it. The function is a system, not a person answering emails.

B. How you are paid
A competitive base, matched to your experience and reviewed on performance. The bigger reward is the seat itself: first lawyer in a company building toward a billion dollars in sales, the function yours to design, and the CEO directly across the table.

C. How to apply

Q1- A problem where the official answer was no, and how you turned it into a yes. The matter, the path, the result.
Q2- The hardest agreement you have personally drafted and negotiated end to end. Your role at each step.
Q3- An employment or commercial dispute you handled under real pressure. What you did and how it ended.
Q4- Why in-house at a startup, as the first lawyer, instead of the firm or courtroom track. Be direct.
