The Events Assistant is responsible for the physical setup and teardown of event spaces and providing on-site support for university events. Additionally, the role involves performing administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and mailings to support the Advancement Office.
Candidates must be current full-time students at Newman University and legally authorized to work in the United States. The role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-service orientation, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
The Student Campus Events Assistant supports the University Advancement Office by assisting with campus events and providing administrative support. This position requires flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to work independently and as part of a team. Approximately 75% of the position involves event setup, teardown, and on-site event support, while the remaining 25% consists of administrative tasks completed during regular business hours.

Number of hours per week: 10 hours per week
Days and Times needed: Varies: Days, evenings, weekends depending on event schedule and needs in Advancement Office.
Rate of pay: $10.00
