Operate a mobile neon sign-making studio bus to various schools across Clark County for educational programming. Maintain vehicle safety, adhere to traffic laws, and keep detailed travel and maintenance records.
Requires a valid Class A or B CDL with at least 2 years of experience and a clean driving record. Candidates must pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
The Neon Museum is seeking experienced CDL drivers to drive our mobile neon sign-making studio to schools across Clark County as part of our new Glow on the Go program. Our 1995 New Flyer D40LF was remanufactured in 2015 and drives wonderfully. The bus has been transformed by taking out all the passenger seats and converting the space into a studio that allows professionals to safely demonstrate to students how neon signs are made. The Bus Driver is responsible for driving the studio to its destination at local schools so that The Neon Museum’s education team can provide exciting, hands-on science programming for students around the Las Vegas Valley. Trips take place twice per week, generally leaving The Neon Museum before 8:00 am and returning at the end of the school day, after 3:00 pm. Additional drives for maintenance, car washes, and registration may be scheduled.
