Responsibilities

The associate is responsible for selling grocery items to retail accounts and increasing volume within assigned market areas. Key duties include managing store visits, implementing shelf schematics, and maintaining full distribution of approved products.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and a valid driver's license with a personal vehicle. Two years of sales or merchandising experience is preferred, along with the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Position Summary 

Service and sell grocery items to retail accounts in assigned market area ( East Side of Twin Cities- Eau Claire, WI- Madison, WI)  ensuring client standards are met and volume is increased.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Sell products from retail booking sheets provided by Managers.
  • Manage time and priorities to schedule store visits.
  • Participate in store resets representing our clients.based on assisgned territories
  • Present and maintain full distribution on existing approved SKUs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and management.
  • Implement items to meet client shelf schematic standards.
  • Take direction from Manager regarding tagging in, rotating, and placing POS materials for products on shelf.
  • Build rapport with clients and customers. Answer questions and proactively develop plans of action to resolve issues.
  • Complete accurate and timely reports including weekly recaps, Itineraries, expense reports, and web-based reports.
  • May require some travel and/or overnight stays.
  • Driving personal vehicle and maintaining clean driving record.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of full-time sales and/or merchandising work experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, proof of insurance, and acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally lift up to fifty pounds
