The Safety Advisor develops and monitors health and safety policies to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize workplace risks. They are also responsible for conducting residential electrical safety inspections and providing detailed work estimates to customers.

Candidates must have proven experience in residential electrical work and a strong background in sales and customer service. A valid driver's license is required for travel to customer locations.

Full job description

A Safety Advisor is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment within Mister Sparky Electric, an affiliate of Authority Brands Inc. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The Safety Advisor works closely with management, employees, and external agencies to minimize risks, prevent accidents, and foster a culture of safety.

Requirements:
  • Respond to customer calls regarding significant electrical safety concerns.
  • Conduct thorough safety inspections and assessments in residential settings.
  • Provide detailed estimates for recommended electrical work.
  • Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to customers.
  • Coordinate with install crews to ensure timely completion of approved work.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, estimates, and customer interactions.
  • Stay current with electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in electrical work, preferably in residential settings.
  • Strong sales background and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer locations.
