Supervises the activities of employees involved in production, assembly, fabrication operations or support functions.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises the day-to-day workflow of workers; responsible for the training, guidance and discipline of assigned staff.

An understanding of the principles of lean manufacturing and how to implement the tools in support of operational performance goals
Appropriate knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations and procedures
Ability to use the manufacturing information system to obtain information pertaining to the facility
Ability to create and maintain documents in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have some exposure to a manufacturing information system.

Hours: Regular 40-hour workweek. Overtime as needed.
Working Conditions: Factory floor. Requires standing, walking and sitting at a computer.
QualificationsPosition Qualifications
Education: Associate's degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience
Experience/Skills/Abilities: Typically requires three to five years of related mechanical or production experience, including two years in a related lead role. Experience working in a union environment preferred.
