The driver is responsible for the safe delivery, retrieval, and relocation of commercial trailers between customer locations, branches, and repair facilities. They must also perform equipment inspections, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
Candidates must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and a clean motor vehicle record. Proficiency in DOT regulations, trailer maneuvering, and the use of electronic logging devices is required.
Metro Trailer Leasing is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to support the delivery, pickup, and relocation of commercial trailers and related equipment.
This position plays an important role in serving our customers and maintaining the efficient movement of equipment between customer locations, Metro branches, repair facilities, and storage yards. Drivers are expected to operate safely, communicate professionally, and ensure that all equipment is transported accurately and on schedule.
The ideal candidate has experience hauling and spotting trailers, understands Department of Transportation regulations, and is comfortable working directly with customers, dispatchers, branch personnel, and maintenance teams.
Successful drivers must demonstrate safe driving practices, sound judgment, and attention to detail. The ability to maneuver and position trailers in customer yards, loading areas, and confined spaces is essential.
Drivers must also be able to manage changing schedules, follow detailed instructions, and communicate clearly with customers and Metro Trailer Leasing personnel. Strong organizational skills are necessary to ensure that the correct equipment is delivered to the correct location and that all required documentation is completed accurately.
