The Journeyperson Automotive Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various pieces of equipment and heavy-duty trucks. They must also maintain service records, manage parts inventory, and ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with manufacturer specifications.
Candidates must hold a valid trade certificate and a valid driver's license. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, with a CVIP license considered an asset.
McKay Métis Group is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Automotive Technician.
The Role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or designate, the Journeyperson Automotive Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair activities on various pieces of equipment.
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and keep the truck clean.
Provide on the job training to other employees and new hires when requested.
Ensure proper logs are maintained of condition and location of equipment for proper shift hand-over.
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
Required to operate trucks in a safe manner in congested and confined areas.
Keeps tools, equipment, and work area clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Performs related work as assigned.
