Operate proprietary drone technology and conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure safe deliveries for NHS sites. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and technical troubleshooting to minimize fleet downtime.
Requires a technical background in UAS systems, aviation maintenance, or electronics with experience following Standard Operating Procedures. A LAPL medical certificate and background check are required, while pilot licenses and EASA certifications are preferred.

We’re expanding our operations in the UK to support the NHS Drone Delivery Network, transforming the way medicines, tests, and supplies move between hospitals and patients. We’re looking for passionate, adaptable team members to help us bring our vision to life in London and beyond.
As a UAS Operations and Maintenance Technician, you’ll split your time between ground operations and keeping our fleet in top condition. You’ll ensure safe, reliable, and efficient deliveries for NHS sites and work directly with our UK Operations Lead and global team to operate flights, test and maintain equipment, and represent Matternet in the field. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves both the thrill of operations and the satisfaction of making sure every system works perfectly.

In 2019, Matternet and UPS partnered to launch drone delivery services in the U.S. and together started the first revenue drone delivery operations in the U.S. In 2022, Matternet M2 became the first drone delivery system to achieve standard Type Certification and Production Certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the U.S. To date, Matternet technology has enabled over 20,000 commercial flights.
