Duties and responsibilities:
The Career Development Center (CDC) at George Mason University Korea is seeking motivated, resilient, and detail-oriented student interns to join our team for the Fall 2026 semester through the Work & Study program. This position operates in a vibrant, fast-paced office environment with evolving priorities, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on administrative, event management, and marketing experience while directly contributing to your peers' career success.
-Assist with logistics, vendor coordination, on-site registration, and run-sheet execution under tight, live-event timelines.
-Manage rotating digital marketing responsibilities, including publishing post-event updates on LinkedIn and designing promotional layouts for the office screen.
-Take full semester ownership of drafting career tips and student success stories for the CDC Blog and creating visual content for Instagram.
-Manage administrative tasks, scheduling, rosters, and logistical support for CDC Ambassadors and project group-led initiatives.
-Update CRM systems, collect student internship files, track alumni employment data, and manage RSVPs to ensure accurate data intake.
-Manage daily reception duties in both English and Korean, greeting visitors professionally, routing incoming calls, and guiding students to complete feedback surveys.
-Oversee CDC-designated areas and shared office resources, ensuring high standards are maintained and reporting facility issues promptly.
Desired qualifications.
Successful applicants should:
1) A strong understanding of Mason Korea Career Development Center services
2) Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva
3) Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills
4) Exhibit professionalism and a strong work ethic;
- Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to build rapport with students
- Be available and accessible for the time commitment involved
5) Comfortable starting conversations over the phone
Work Hours per student: 15 hours/week during summer and semester session. Seeking 1 student(s).

Note:
Students must meet the following requirements:
1) Must have completed at least one semester at Mason Korea and have an official GPA record.
2) Be in good academic standing (Cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher; or as required by the office).
3) Have enrolled as FT student in current semester. When working during the break, have completed enrollment in the upcoming semester.
A note on break housing:
•UL does not guarantee housing during the summer & winter breaks for the work & study program students who apply for the housing.
•Work & Study students can reach out to UL Housing Staff or IGC housing office directly if they would like to receive more information about break housing.
•The break housing is usually offered on a first-come, first served bases. Please note that the housing office cannot guarantee availability if all rooms are already occupied.
•Work & Student students will follow the same procedure as other students (application period, payment deadline, etc.) if they are planning to apply for break housing at IGC.
