Position Overview

Leading Edge is seeking an energetic, dependable, and engaging ECE Lead Teacher to join our school-year program at Trevista at Horace Mann.

This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys leading hands-on activities, building meaningful relationships, collaborating with a team, and supporting the whole child through positive mentorship and enriching programming.

The ECE Lead Teacher will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where students can learn, explore, and grow throughout the 2026–2027 school year.

Schedule

Part-Time

Monday–Friday
2:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

Candidates must be available to work all scheduled hours throughout the 2026–2027 school year.

What You'll Do

• Lead engaging enrichment activities and group programming
• Support positive behavior guidance and social-emotional development
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for students
• Build positive relationships with students, families, school partners, and staff
• Maintain compliance with Colorado childcare licensing requirements and program expectations
• Collaborate with program leadership and fellow educators to support daily operations
• Assist with maintaining an organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
• Provide dependable and consistent support throughout the school year

Qualifications

Candidates must meet Colorado ECE Lead Teacher qualifications through education, experience, credentialing, or a combination of qualifying pathways.

Selected candidates must be able to provide supporting documentation within 30 days of employment, which may include:

• Transcripts and/or certifications
• Experience verification letters completed by a former supervisor or HR representative, if applicable

Candidates must also:

• Be available Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Be dependable and committed to working throughout the 2026–2027 school year
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Meet all applicable background-check, training, and licensing requirements

Interview Process

Selected candidates will first be invited to an initial phone screening. 

Candidates selected to move forward will participate in an in-person interview with program leadership. Finalists will then be invited to an in-person final interview and site walkthrough at Trevista at Horace Mann.
