The Quick Lane Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations within the Quick Lane Service Department, including team management, customer satisfaction, productivity, and profitability. This role ensures the department runs efficiently while maintaining the Knight Automotive standard of quality and hospitality. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and leader with a passion for people, process, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and manage the Quick Lane team, including Service Advisors, Technicians, and support staff.
Oversee daily service operations to ensure timely and high-quality maintenance and light repair work.
Monitor technician productivity, repair order accuracy, and overall workflow efficiency.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through strong communication, follow-up, and problem resolution.
Manage appointment scheduling, shop capacity, and work distribution.
Ensure all services and recommendations are properly documented and communicated to customers.
Control department expenses, monitor gross profit, and achieve monthly performance objectives.
Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and manufacturer standards.
Coordinate with Parts, Accounting, and Main Service Departments to ensure smooth operations.

QualificationsQualifications
3+ years of automotive service experience; 1+ year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Strong understanding of maintenance and light repair operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage a team and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
Proficiency with dealership management systems (Dealertrack, CDK, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Financial and operational acumen to manage department profitability.
Professional appearance and commitment to customer care.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
