Job DetailsJob Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80915Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 Salary/yearThe Assessment and Intervention Coordinator plans and implements school-wide local, district, and state assessment programs for students at Power Technical. Additionally, this role analyzes student data to develop and implement intervention plans to support students and teachers. The Assessment and Intervention Coordinator leads Response to Intervention meetings and plans, develops and implements 504 Accommodation Plans, and implements and supports Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learner Plans.

Essential Functions

Oversee and participate in organizing, administering, monitoring, scoring, processing and data analysis of local, district, and state assessment programs. Serve as the liaison to district staff and outside vendors regarding assessment. Ensure assessment activities comply with related standards and requirements. Assessments administered include (but are not limited to): NWEA MAPS, Acadience Reading, ACCESS, ASVAB, ACCUPlacer, CMAS, PSAT, and SAT.

Participate in the accurate input of student assessment results, intervention plans, and a variety of other data into appropriate databases; initiate inquiries and generate reports; purge files as necessary.

Plan and facilitate professional development and training for staff involved in assessments for the purpose of meeting district needs and to ensure compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.

Participate in meetings, workshops, training and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.

Analyze academic and assessment data to identify and develop support plans for students in compliance with district, state and federal laws. This includes Response to Intervention Plans, 504 Accommodation Plans, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learner Plans.

Provide individualized academic and executive functioning supports to students as part of intervention plan management.

As dictated by school needs, provide instruction in up to 2 classes per semester.

Act as a source of information to students, faculty and staff, and the public regarding assessments, policies, requirements, and procedures.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

Education and Experience: Completion of a bachelor’s degree. At least 5 years of experience as a classroom teacher or in a role responsible for instruction of students. Experience that would demonstrate proficiency in administering or monitoring assessment sessions and records management techniques or a combination of training or experience that would indicate the possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities indicated in the job description.

Knowledge

Knowledge of methods of collecting and organizing data and information, statistical methods in assessment, assessment processes, educational programs and organizations, records management techniques, and legal requirements relating to assessment and student accommodation plans. Knowledge of current office management practices including filing systems, letter and report writing, presentation techniques, and a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, or database programs as needed to fulfill the requirements of the job. Public and human relations skills. Knowledge of instructional techniques and practices, education law, and development and implementation of accommodation plans.

Abilities

Ability to coordinate, plan and organize work; gather, analyze, and interpret test results; learn, understand, apply and communicate applicable laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and policies; maintain current information regarding assigned programs and tasks; prioritize tasks and do several tasks simultaneously; conduct assessment activities; schedule a significant number of activities and/or events; provide individualized supports to students and families.

Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances. Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires analysis based on organizational objectives. Must be able to independently carry out oral and written instructions, compile and maintain accurate and complete records, analyze and present academic and assessment data, efficiently prepare reports and correspondence.

Utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs to create/produce letters, reports, and other documents as needed. Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form. Conduct and facilitate professional development and meetings.

Exercise sound judgement in recognizing the scope of authority as designated. Analyze situations and make decisions on procedural and detail matters without immediate supervision. Train and provide direction to staff and students.

Exempt

Salary Range $45,000 - $55,000 annually depending on experience. 191 contract days annually.
