Purpose of the Role
The French Teacher at Smart Vision School is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and inclusive lessons that foster academic, social, and emotional development. The teacher will create a positive and nurturing classroom environment, adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners, and encourage curiosity and a love of learning.
This role aligns with both the UK Teachers’ Standards and the KHDA Education Inspection Framework, ensuring excellence in teaching, safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion, and student achievement. The teacher will also maintain effective communication with parents and colleagues and contribute to the broader SVS community.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
Plan and deliver effective, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all students.
Use excellent subject knowledge, pedagogical skills, and interpersonal abilities to inspire and motivate students.
Employ a variety of teaching strategies, including ICT and other new technologies, to enhance learning.
Adapt lessons to cater for Students of Determination, ELL learners, and students with diverse abilities.
Encourage students to become independent, confident, and lifelong learners.
Model best practice in academic integrity, creativity, and critical thinking.
Assessment, Recording, and Reporting
Assess and record student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to guide improvement.
Help students set and monitor targets to improve on their previous achievements.
Provide oral and written reports, references, and feedback for individual students or groups.
Maintain accurate records of personal, social, and academic development.
Pastoral and Behaviour Responsibilities
Establish and maintain clear, consistent expectations for behaviour in line with school policies.
