Every class should leave learners able to immediately apply what they've learned in the workplace.

  • Prepare and validate labs, software, equipment, and learning environments before delivery.
  • Troubleshoot classroom, learner, software, lab, and technical issues during live instruction.
  • Demonstrate real-world use cases, best practices, and practical application of technologies taught.
  • Answer advanced learner questions beyond the published curriculum when appropriate.
  • Maintain technical expertise, certifications, and instructional readiness.
  • Review certification exam changes and recommend curriculum updates.
  • Support learners during class through coaching and technical guidance.
  • Monitor learner engagement, comprehension, lab completion, and feedback.
  • Document delivery observations, recurring learner questions, and recommended improvements.
  • Participate in course pilots, lab testing, and facilitator readiness activities.
  • Partner with Learning & Technology to improve curriculum, labs, assessments, and delivery methods.
  • Represent SkillOps professionally while building trust with learners and client stakeholders.
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools where appropriate to improve instructional preparation and learner engagement.
  • Travel to client locations as required for onsite training delivery

Success in this Role

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences.
  • Maintain excellent learner satisfaction scores.
  • Support strong certification exam outcomes.
  • Ensure reliable lab environments with minimal disruption.
  • Continuously improve course materials and instructional quality.
  • Maintain current certifications and technical expertise.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years delivering instructor-led technical training or comparable technical education.
  • Expertise in one or more Microsoft technologies, CompTIA certification domains, or enterprise software platforms.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills in live learning environments.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for learners with varying experience levels.
  • Experience working with virtual labs, cloud-based learning environments, or hands-on technical labs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent).
  • Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).
  • Experience teaching adult learners and certification preparation courses.
  • Experience developing or improving technical curriculum.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise productivity platforms.
