General Statement/Purpose of Job:
This role has the responsibility to grow company sales in designated territories by maintaining and developing current relationships with contracted manufacturer reps, electrical distributors, contractors, and specifying engineers. To Maintain, build and grow brand awareness of ILP. They will ensure the agent and distributors are fully aware of the product, capabilities and service of both companies and work with the Product Line Managers on all new product training and education as the product is launched and put into service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive all sales initiatives for the given territories assigned.
- Identify new sales opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the Regional Application Managers on opportunities to quote and close projects.
- Train contracted sales agencies, distributors, contractors and engineers on all products and capabilities.
- Create a quarterly plan of action and an effective call plan to drive sales for your defined territories.
- Assist in planning and marketing of the company and its products.
- Provide after sales support and service to customers and agents.
- Maintain and increase your knowledge related to company products and other items related to the lighting industry.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and ethics while at work.
- Provide regular reporting updates to Director of Sales on each assigned territory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Mathematical skills in calculating margin and pricing markups.
- Strong computer skills with the following programs:
- Excel
- Outlook
- Sales Force (CRM) and Epicor (ERP)
- Negotiation Techniques
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- 4 Year business degree
- Lighting Industry preferred, but not required.
Travel:Travel (50%-60%) to meet with customers and agents assigned is expected on an annual basis.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily conducted in an office working environment with some exposure to manufacturing facility.
