Responsibilities

The specialist will drive business development for Procurement Services by leveraging NCD market intelligence to shape IDA's strategy. They will develop end-to-end solutions and manage relationships across the disease ecosystem and various global stakeholders.

Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree and have experience in health systems of lower middle-income countries and the public health ecosystem. Proficiency in English is required, with a strong background in supply chain and cross-sector collaboration preferred.

We distribute over 3000 different health products to customers and partners in over 130 countries. We work with international and local NGOs, large donor organisations, ministries of health and central medical stores, and smaller mission hospitals.

We are currently looking for a NCD Market Access Specialist

Full-time position (40 hours/week)

The Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Market Access Specialist plays an active role in the Procurement Services business development (BD) program and the wider BD activities of IDA. Based on the thorough understanding of the NCD market and business intelligence comes with suggestions to be implemented in IDA’s strategy and future activities. The NCD Market Access Specialist has the capabilities to look at end-to-end solutions from a broader perspective, whilst also able to zoom in on the details relevant for IDA and market approaches. Affinity with broader business topics (business development, QA/QC, customer engagement, procurement, supply chain) and the disease ecosystems is essential to provide the solution-oriented behavior required from the NCD Market Access Specialist. This role will involve some travel to conferences, in-country customer/partner visits.



Education & Experience

  • Minimum level is Bachelor degree

  • Experience with supply chain is preferred

  • Experience working across sectors (governments, industry, civil society, NGOs) toward program goals

  • Experience in health systems of lower middle-income countries (LMIC) and Public/Global Health ecosystem

  • Flexible and positive attitude, ability to meet the changing requirements of the donor/contractor

  • Highly accurate, with attention to detail and quality

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in sales support in an international environment

    Fluent Language skills (written and spoken):
    English. French/Spanish valued.

  • Solid understanding of business processes, preferably in an international Supply Chain environment

  • Ability to manage stakeholders effectively at all levels (both internal and external)

  • Strong program and relationship management skills

  • Solid analytical and critical decision-making skills

  • Strong planning and organization skills

  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and problem resolution

  • Team-oriented and good interpersonal communication skills
