The candidate will research and develop a quantitative methodology for assessing and predicting integration risks in mechatronic vehicle systems. This involves analyzing failure mechanisms at interfaces and implementing the methodology as a prototype for validation.

Gifhorn
The increasing complexity of mechatronic vehicle systems presents vehicle development with particular challenges, especially in system integration. Interfaces between mechanical, electrical and software-based subsystems are among the most common sources of integration risks in the development process.
As part of this thesis, a quantitative method for assessing and predicting such integration risks is to be developed. The method will be based on model-based approaches that can be used to systematically identify, evaluate and make risks visible at an early stage of the development process.
To further develop this future-oriented topic, we are looking for an engaged student for a thesis in the field of modern vehicle development and model-based system integration.
Remuneration is based on our collective bargaining agreement. The current monthly salary for this position is EUR 1.012.
