Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing. Proficiency in ERP software and Excel is required, along with a strong understanding of standard costing.

Full job description

Under the Supervision of the Senior Accounting Manager, the Accountant is responsible for assisting in closing the corporate books, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations and analysis, consolidating financial statements, and preparing management reports.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established close timelines.
  • Oversees and supervises the Accounts Payable function.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports; investigate and explain variances for key accounts to support leadership decision-making.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including intercompany and interdivision activity, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Support cash management activities, including bank reconciliations, monitoring account balances, and assisting with cash flow forecasting.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank, credit card, and investment accounts, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and support filings for governmental reports and tax-related schedules, working with external accountants as required.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts, ensuring variances are properly researched, documented, and recorded.
  • Support standard cost maintenance, cost roll updates, and analysis of cost variances; communicate cost impacts to management when changes occur.
  • Support the Food Service channel and Service Tech invoicing.
  • Assist with ERP maintenance, system updates, and process improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency.
  • Maintain fixed asset and construction-in-progress accounting, including depreciation, disposals, and capitalization reviews.
  • Apply manufacturing accounting principles to support accurate cost accounting and financial reporting.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and emergency response protocols.
  • Maintain regular attendance and flexibility to work extended hours during month-end close, year-end close, budgeting, and other critical financial cycles.
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned to support the Finance and Accounting team.

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2-5 years accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, variances, pricing & product costing analysis a plus.
  • Proficient in ERP Software.
  • Proficient in Excel.
