The Driver Assistant acts as a witness for the packaging and destruction of DEA controlled substances while assisting a CDL driver. Responsibilities include video recording destruction processes, managing inventory, and handling hazardous waste paperwork.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain a Hazwoper certification within 90 days. A clean driving record and proficiency with Windows-based programs are preferred.

The Driver Assistant DEA will work along an Environmental Driver Specialist. The Driver Assistant DEA will act as a witness to the packaging, videotaping, and destruction of DEA waste. Assistant will also help in other areas when needed including the segregation of waste, completion of paperwork, management of inventory, and working in warehouse.
