Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor or Department Manager, the Maintenance Repair Technician will support and coordinate various aspects of Core Tip Department and Facilities operations. Responsibilities include managing spare parts inventory, assisting with new equipment installation, and troubleshooting Core Tip production equipment to ensure production objectives are met.
Accomplish daily job duties within the responsible area based on production needs.
Cognizant of employee behavior, working conditions, and equipment safety; escalation when necessary.
Ensure inventory accuracy in responsibility through accurate inventory issuance, movements, and cycle count compliance.
Execute shift pass down, summarizing performance to plan and support needs.
Display the ability to perform all maintenance and troubleshooting duties within Core Tip manufacturing areas.
Determine departmental needs with cross-functional team members in the form of a problem statement, impact, and resolution needed.
Timely escalation of material shortage, technical, or process-related issues and follow-up for resolution.
Oversees and maintains area cleanliness, organization, and 5S.
Facilitate equitable treatment to all employees within the department.
Initiate all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to work independently and with others.
Ability to coordinate between other production areas.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and procedures to others, including geometric tolerances.
Ability to work with other people in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to use software applications.
Good eye/hand coordination and motor skills are required.
Must have knowledge and experience to complete repairs on complex automation equipment.
Position requires occasional exerting up to 50 pounds of force and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Education/Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
3-5 years in manufacturing equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, installation, and facilities.
3-5 years in a leadership position
