Requirements
Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant hands-on hazardous materials remediation experience and a valid driver's license. Professional certifications such as 40 Hour Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor, 40 Hour Hazwoper, and OSHA 30 are preferred.
Full job description
Supervise all hazardous materials abatement activities (asbestos, lead, mold, etc), ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, IICRC and other regulatory agencies
Verify and document compliance with project specifications, work plans, permits and regulatory requirements daily via computer & tech platforms
Coordinate with project managers, clients, agency representatives, and others to ensure smooth project execution
Train and mentor crew members on hazmat abatement and safe work practices
Respond to and manage on-site emergencies or unforeseen hazards effectively
Inspect equipment and tools for operational readiness and compliance
Travel to project sites throughout Alaska
2+ years of relevant hands-on hazardous materials remediation experience – or other related field experience
