Position:                    Commercial Analyst 

Reporting to:             Commercial Finance Leader 

Location Base:          Hybrid – 3 days per week Global Touring Office (Chiswick, London), 2 days per week remote (Thurs & Fri) 

Contract:                    Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract (6 months)

Through our brands Topdeck Travel, Back-Roads Touring and Grasshopper Adventures) we are ever developing our product range, driving growth in key sales markets (Australia, New Zealand & North America), innovating product delivery and ensuring we deliver a first-class customer experience. Don’t worry if you can’t find Global Touring when you search online – this is our internal brand; externally we only use our customer-facing brands.

The Role: 

We are looking for an experienced commercial and analytical thinker, focusing primarily on supporting the delivery of product and trading analysis under the guidance of the Commercial Finance Leader.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Updating and maintaining a suite of reports to track business KPIs (dashboards, data models, visualisations and analysis). 

  • Provide commentary and key insights into trading and product performance. 

  • Support rollout of AI-driven process improvement. 

  • Work with the Product team to provide visibility and analysis of product margin and associated pricing decisions. 

  • Taking the lead on specific projects and ad hoc analysis under the guidance of the Commercial Finance Leader. 

Experience, Requirements and Key Behaviours: 

  • Commercially focused with experience of delivering reporting that drives outcomes. Strong financial background essential with 3+ years experience. 

  • Proactive and hands on, with a desire to continuously improve processes, provide great service and deeply understand the problem at hand. 

  • Highly analytical with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience working with large, disconnected data sets and ideally some modelling experience. 

  • Experience using Power BI and developing/maintaining dashboards. 

  • Experience using Claude would be beneficial.  

  • A driven individual who can work independently. 

  • Thrives under pressure and adapts positively to change. 

  • And of course… A passion for all things travel related!
