Perform routine sample preparation and chemical analysis using specialized laboratory equipment. Maintain accurate records of results and coordinate findings with production personnel while ensuring facility housekeeping.
Requires a diploma in Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technology or a related field. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and willing to work overtime or alternate shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform routine sample preparation and analysis using ICP, GC ECD, Bomb Calorimeter, Auto Titrator and Karl-Fischer
· Sample drums and perform compatibility testing and analysis
· Report analytical results and coordinate with production personnel
· Maintain accurate analysis, maintenance, and production records
· Assist other facility operators as needed
· Perform general laboratory and facility housekeeping duties
· Performs additional duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Key Competencies:
· Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technician or Technologist of related Diploma
· Previous lab experience is an asset
· Competent computer skills (MS Windows and Office)
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environment
· Must be safety conscious and detail oriented
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to follow procedures and work with minimum supervision
· Willing to work overtime, alternate shifts and occasional weekends.
