Responsible for the design, troubleshooting, repair, and programming of automated equipment including PLCs and robots. Performs preventative maintenance and modifies electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to improve safety and efficiency.
Must be a Journeyman Electrician with the ability to program PLC logic and handle all aspects of automation maintenance. Requires physical stamina to work in confined spaces and availability for mandatory overtime 6-7 days per week.
Under minimum supervision, demonstrates experience and technical knowledge of Electronics, Electrical Circuitry, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanics, Mathematics and related skills in the design, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, program and modification of automated equipment such as (but not limited to) programmable controllers, sensors, computers, measuring devices, scanners and related automation equipment and associated machinery. Performs other related work as directed.
This position description is not all-inclusive. This position is required to perform all other miscellaneous duties and functions as may be assigned. This includes working in all classifications that employee may be assigned to.
