Assist the Air Quality team with research, data collection, and the preparation of technical reports regarding GHG emissions and air quality. Support project managers in managing project data and coordinating deliverables for environmental studies.
Requires a degree in-process in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Planning, Geography, or a related field. Candidates must possess strong technical writing skills and a basic understanding of environmental specialties.
FirstCarbon Solutions (FCS), an ADEC Innovation, seeking an Air Quality Intern to assist the Air Quality team with performing analyses, research, and documentation support in the areas of air quality, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and energy .The Air Quality Intern will provide general support in environmental analysis and document preparation, and will gain practical knowledge in rules and regulations related to air quality, GHG emissions and energy. In addition, the Air Quality Intern will gain knowledge in modeling tools used in air pollutant and GHG emissions and air dispersion modeling including CalEEMod, AERMOD, HARP, and EMFAC. This Air Quality Intern role will be primarily air quality and GHG emissions focused, though the opportunity exists to be exposed to other environmental resource areas depending on workload and interest. This paid internship will be available in a remote or hybrid working environment (dependent on proximity to an FCS office location).
This position will report to a Senior Air Quality Scientist. This is on-call, position.
