The Systems Project Manager oversees multiple complex IT projects, coordinating resources to ensure objectives are met within scope, schedule, and budget. Key duties include leading project meetings, managing risks, and collaborating with technical teams to validate solution feasibility.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 7 years of hands-on project management experience, preferably in financial services or technology. Proficiency in iterative methodologies like Agile and Waterfall, along with strong communication skills, is required.
The Systems Project Manager oversees multiple concurrent projects of average to high complexity, coordinating IT resources and activities to ensure project objectives are met. This role develops and maintains project schedules, prepares status reports, leads project meetings, and proactively identifies and resolves technical and business challenges. Responsibilities include defining and managing project scope, requirements, risks, budgets, and deliverables, as well as analyzing solution needs and ensuring all project phases are properly executed and documented.
Manage projects according to the current Project Management Methodology, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resource management.
Collaborate with appropriate working team members to document estimates and project delivery dates, including a cost-benefit analysis where applicable.
Keep project schedules accurate and updated on a weekly basis.
Communicate status to all stakeholders in a timely, clear and concise manner.
Assure necessary business analysis functions are accomplished such as documenting requirements, testing application functionality, and documenting process and data flow.
Develop a basic understanding of the application and the business domain related to projects.
Develop a practical understanding of the architecture, infrastructure, and technical components involved in projects.
Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to validate solution feasibility and ensure alignment with technical standards.
Utilize Microsoft product suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
Negotiate priorities with appropriate stakeholders when conflicts arise.

Participate in software and service contract negotiations when applicable.

Experience managing projects in the financial services or technology industries.
Experience executing projects utilizing iterative project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Hybrid).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead diverse project working teams.
Ability to understand and apply technical concepts to business solutions.
