The Plant Mechanic is responsible for preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs of fixed equipment in Material Recovery and C&D Waste Facilities. Duties include diagnosing mechanical problems, replacing components like conveyor belts and motors, and fabricating repair parts.
Candidates need a high school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of industrial experience, specifically with hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding. A valid driver's license and a mechanical or trade school certificate are required.

Under the direct supervision of the Plant Maintenance Manager, the Plant Mechanic is responsible for the complete Plant preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs of the fixed equipment supported in the Material Recovery Facility and C&D (Construction and Demolition) Waste Facility
