Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate a variety of golf course equipment including rotary and reel mowers, string trimmers, irrigation systems, and hand tools

- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance

- Assist with general course maintenance tasks to maintain high standards of course quality

- Follow safety protocols and proper procedures during equipment operation

- Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily maintenance schedules

Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience with golf course or landscape equipment is preferred but not required

- Ability to operate and maintain lawn and irrigation equipment safely and effectively

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

- Good physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

- Reliable and punctual with a flexible attitude towards work hours

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Availability:

Work hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:00 am to 11:00 am with rotating weekend shifts from 6:00 am to about 9:00 am. As we get further into fall hours will shift dependent on the weather. 

Position runs approximately to October 31st - depending on weather.

Requirements

Individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

The district itself is divided into the Finance Department, Recreation Department, Parks Department, Cultural Activities Department, Human Resources & Payroll, Valley Senior Services and Courts Plus Community Fitness.
