The intern will perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, and asphalt while supporting project documentation and coordination. They will also assist senior staff with technical tasks, project budgeting, and the oversight of field technicians.
Candidates must be current students pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with at least 90 days of related experience. The role requires the ability to lift 85 pounds and the commitment to obtain specific industry certifications within the first 270 days of employment.
The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Intern Level 3 performs field and laboratory testing activities and supports project execution with increasing independence on more complex projects. This role contributes to technical tasks, project coordination, and operational support, including testing, documentation, and early involvement in project management activities. The CMT Intern Level 3 demonstrates developing technical and professional competency while supporting project teams, maintaining a positive customer service attitude, and demonstrating ECS Core Values.
