Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Part-Time Abatement Supervisor to oversee environmental abatement projects involving asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and other hazardous materials. The supervisor will ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining high-quality standards and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise abatement crews on residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
- Monitor work practices, containment setups, and decontamination procedures.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, air monitoring records, and compliance paperwork.
- Coordinate project materials and equipment needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews, management, and inspectors.
- Perform site inspections and quality control checks.
- Train and mentor crew members on proper abatement procedures and safety protocols.
- Respond to project issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
- Current Supervisor Certification for asbestos, lead, mold, or other applicable abatement disciplines preferred.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in environmental abatement, remediation, or construction supervision.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read project specifications, reports, and regulatory documents.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with asbestos, lead, mold, and demolition projects.
- Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
- Experience conducting employee training and safety audits.
