Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Dream Dental is seeking an experienced, energetic Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing team in Goodlettsville, TN! We're looking for a team player who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working alongside a supportive, collaborative dental team.

Schedule

This is a full-time (32 hours per week) rotating schedule:

• Monday – Thursday
• Tuesday – Friday
• Wednesday – Saturday

Availability for all scheduled days, including Saturdays, is required. Pay is weekly - Fridays.

What You'll Do

• Assist the doctor during a variety of restorative and surgical procedures
• Perform expanded functions as permitted by Tennessee regulations
• Fabricate and place temporary restorations
• Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos
• Scan with digital impression technology
• Prepare operatories before and after treatment
• Educate patients on treatment plans and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate clinical records
• Ensure OSHA and CDC infection control standards are followed
• Work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, and administrative team members to provide an exceptional patient experience

Qualifications

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience
• Current X-Ray certification
• Strong knowledge of restorative, crown and bridge, implant, and general dentistry procedures
• Experience with digital dentistry and dental software preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive attitude, dependable, and patient-focused
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Requirements

Education and Training

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
• Valid X-ray certificate.
• Current license EFDA (per state requirements).
• CPR & first aid certificate.

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
