The Diet Tech is responsible for implementing dietary components, including menu planning, grocery budget allocation, and meal preparation. They also provide dietary support to patients and ensure the facility maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with preference given to those with education or experience in nutrition sciences. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and obtain necessary certifications such as CPI, CPR, AED, and Food Handling/Safety within the specified timeframes.

Position Summary:
The Diet Tech is responsible for consulting with the Registered Dietitian to ensure implementation of the best standard of nutrition and dietary services. The Diet Tech is responsible for implementing the dietary component within the program. Responsibilities include dietary support, grocery budget allocation, patient menu planning, maintaining a clean and well stocked kitchen, cooking and baking as recommended, and appropriately discerning between appropriate and inappropriate patient eating behaviors
